Coke chicken wings

Most people like to drink Coke. Have you ever tried to use Coke cook dishes? What we will learn today is how to use coke to cook. When I was in China Coke chicken wing is my little brother favorite food. So, let's begin!




We need prepare a can of Coke, chicken wings, ginger, green onion, soy sauce, salt, cooking oil.




1. Prepare all of the material. Wings, ginger, green onion.








2. Pour oil in the pan, and stir-fried ginger and green onion.








3. Stir-fry chicken wings with ginger and green onions in the pan, until golden brown on both sides.








4. Add two tablespoons of soy sauce, continue to stir-fry a minute.








5. Pour a can of Coke into the pan. When boiling, change a small fire to stew.







6. Stew wings until just has a little coke juice in the pan, turn to high heat, stir evenly until all juice is absorbed.








7. Dish up and serve!

Sweet and Sour Spare Ribs

Today, I will describe how to cook rids-named Sweet and Sour Spare Ribs. This dishes more children love to eat.

major ingredient: Ribs

minor ingredient: Green onion, ginger, garlic, anise, pepper, salt, sugar, vinegar, cooking wine, soy sauce, sesame.





1. Cut ribs into small blacks, then put the water, ribs, give a boil over a high heat. Remove the foam, add green onion, anise, ginger, garlic, and a little vinegar into the pot. Simmer over low heat for one to one and a half hours.









2. After one to one and a half hours, remove ribs and drain the water.











3. Put the rib soup into the bowl.












4. Use the hot oil, and put sugar into the pot, fry until like caramel.










5. Put ribs into pot until getting darker. And then add soy sauce, vinegar, cooking wine.










6.Add ribs soup, Simmer over low heat for half hour, and turn to high heat, stir evenly until all sauce is absorbed.










7. When the sauce is absorbed, add a little vinegar again.











8. Dish off and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Historical elements influencing Chinese food culture


As a Chinese old saying goes:"mountaineers rely on mountains, just like those by the waterside profit from water." People in different regions choose the food mainly by the materials they have. For instance, in southeastern coastal areas, people are fond of fish and shrimp, which are not accepted by the local people in the northwest area. In addition, politics, economic and technology are main factors which contribute to the area differentiation of Chinese food. Beijing ,an important city from very early time in Chinese history, attracts a lot of famous cooks, which makes different food habits from the whole country affect each other and mingle. The development of economic also performs a role. For example, the northeast China had been relayed on gathering-----fishing, hunting and nomadism. However, as more and more Han Chinese person moved in and reclaim, the agriculture in the central China has already take root there.

Let’s make it more concrete.

I’d like to divide the north China into northeast and northwest.

First talk about the northeast. This area includes Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang and Inner Mongolia, in which, the soil is rich without large population nor frost period. The economic there is made up of farming, hunting, fishing and gathering. Compared with the food in the middle or lower reaches of the Yellow River and Yangtze River valley, the food in northeast consist of more animal albumen. Furthermore, because of the low temperature, people there like frozen food specially. The frozen food in northeast China being a large number of kinds and quantity, as well as a long eating period, is a big characteristic of northeastern food. Such as ,frozen meat, frozen fish, especially the frozen tofu. Because of a short nonfrost period, the fresh vegetable is in short supply. As a result, people like to stock a large number of them for the winter.

Then about the northwest. This food circle in made up of Shanxi, Gansu, Jiangxi and so on. From Qin dynasty on, this area is fine for the growth of grain and wheat. So until now, the wheaten food is popular there, especially in Shanxi and Jiangxi. Because the agriculture’s prior place, animal husbandry is not very advanced.

Food in south China presents another view.

The Yangtze River alley consists of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui and Shanghai. This area is the important cradle land of rice. Centuries ago, it already had an advanced technology of growing rice and other food materials. And until period in spring and autumn and warring states, the “a land of milk and honey” pattern had taken shape. Anhui food promoted with the development of Huizhou merchants and spread to the whole country. In Ming and Qing dynasty, Jiangsu was a reliable taxpaying province. And some books published that time such as <eating rules of Tong> push the polarization of Jiangsu food. The northeast area includes Fujian, Guangdong, Taiwan and places surrounded where Vegetables and fruits, seafood and poultry are abundant. From the end of Qing dynasty, the evasion of western countries result in the change of food habit here. Western food made a great influence on the food culture of south of the Five ridges. Commercial advantages, tradition and atmosphere make the food culture commercial.

Chicken soup with mushrooms

Today I recommend a very nutritious soup! Named Chicken soup with mushrooms! Traditional Chinese Medicine believes that it is can prevent a cold if drink chicken soup. Chicken soup with mushrooms not only delicious, but also very easy to cook!


Now, we are start step by step!


We need the following food material:







         


                                               


























1. Put the chicken leg into the boiling water for a minute. Than bails out.


2. Put a little oil into the hot pot, wait a few second than put ginger and chicken into the pot, stir-fry until medium well.


3. Put the water into the pot,until boiling and add some cooking wine.


4. Then simmer half hour. After half hour, add mushrooms into soup.


5. Now you just need wait 2-3 hours later, add some salt and green onion (according to personal preferences), then you can drink chicken soup with mushrooms.


Tips:

1. According to personal preferences, can slice mushroom.

2. Put some ginger as much as possible, the tastes will be better. (If you like ginger)

Braised fish in brown sauce

Now I show you how to cook another fish dish, this is the very common way to cook fish in China, named Braised fish in brown sauce.

So, let's start.



1. Clean the green onion, and cut off.









2. Clean ginger and cut it into slices.











3. Clean the fish block, pat dry with kitchen paper.










4. Pour oil in the pan and put the ginger in the pan.










5. Put the fish block into the pan until golden brown on both sides.









6. Pour soy sauce into pan.












7.Pour the cooking wine into the pan.










8. Pour some water into the pan and add a little sugar and salt.








9. After just a little water in the pan, put the green onion into it. And then remove the fish into the plate.













10.Began to taste it!




Salmon head and tofu soup

My favorite food is fish. Almost all kinds of fish. In china, there are variety of fish dishes. Such as fried fish slices with sweet and sour sauce, steamed fish, stewed fish with soy sauce, etc. However, fish soup is the most nutritious. Today I will show you how to cook the salmon head and tofu soup.

Let's start step by step!






1. Clean the salmon head, and remove the gill. Pat dry with kitchen paper.








2. Clean the tofu, ginger and pleurotus eryngii, then cut into slices





3. Clean the greens.



4.Put the oil in the pan and heat it until the oil is hot. Then put the fish head into the pan, fry until golden brown on both sides.






5. Put the water into the pan until boiling, then put the tofu into the pan. Use the the low fair for an hour.








6. After an hour put the greens into the soup, add the salt and after few minute, the soup finish!









7. Began to taste it!









This soup is very bland, and while being high in nutrition also happen to be spectacularly low in calories.
